2-1
Well, we were really sloppy in the first half- but we did create enough chances as well- and at times were given the ball away way too cheaply and allowed Arsenal to come at us, which they duly obliged. I thought their clear cut chance in the first half came from Park giving the ball away. But they really passed the ball well, and we were always a treat.
Adebayor’s goal was a clean ‘hand of god’ and at that stage Fergie had seen enough, but to say the least we go our own back on Gallas as his clumsily handled the ball in the area. Nerves of steel from Ronaldo when he slotted home a penalty so cool and calm after he was asked to retake it and Lehmann made somes great save when we got behind their defense.
For all their possession they never really got behind our defense, and when Tevez and Anderson came on there was only really going to be one winner. Rooney missed another one on one, and immediately after we had a free kick. Hargo slotted home the resultant free kick and at the end of the day the score line was correct, because we did edge out the game.
The critical moment was the substitutions from Fergie and yet again we have proved that we are the best team in the coutry and in Europe. Arsenal really hang on, but there was no escape this time at Old Trafford.
